Building from her foundations in musique concrète and improvisation, Chanelle Allesandre continues to explore acousmatic, monaural soundscapes. Delicately textured and densely atmospheric, her experiments in composition are processes of chance and assemblage, of listening and responding, of drone and detail. She layers electronic sounds, cassettes, field recordings, melodic vocals with ambiguous lyricism, and spoken word. Sometimes she brings out her harp.
